There are no tickets for the festival…
Today is the 35th day of Eid-ul-Azha. Even then, tickets for Tanim Noor’s ‘Utsav’ movie are not available. The movie is housefull in every branch of Star Cineplex today. Many are returning without getting tickets, many have to watch other movies again.
Today, Friday, 13 shows of ‘Utsav’ are being held in all branches of Star Cineplex. 96 percent of the audience booked tickets in advance by last night. So, no one is getting tickets to watch ‘Utsav’ today. Even the majority of tickets for tomorrow’s 15 shows have been booked in advance.

Today is the 35th day of Eid-ul-Azha. Even then, tickets for Tanim Noor’s ‘Utsav’ movie are still not available. The movie is housefull today in every branch of Star Cineplex. Many are returning without getting tickets, many have to watch other movies again.
This Friday, all branches of Star Cineplex are showing 13 shows of ‘Utsav’. 96 percent of the tickets were booked in advance by the audience last night. That’s why no one is getting tickets to watch ‘Utsav’ today. Even the majority of the tickets for tomorrow’s 15 shows have been booked in advance.

A visit to Star Cineplex’s Bashundhara Shopping Mall branch showed a long line at the counter. There were a large number of young viewers there. Their favorites include Hollywood releases ‘Superman’ and ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’. However, viewers with families are looking for tickets for ‘Utsav’. All three shows of the film were houseful last night at this branch.
Meanwhile, ‘Utsav’ is the third film this year to sell tickets worth more than six crore taka in multiplexes. The film achieved this feat in 33 days of its release. The tickets were sold at Star Cineplex, Blockbuster Cinemas and Lion Cinemas. The movie has left behind the movie ‘Dagi’ released on Eid-ul-Fitr.
The movie’s producer Tanim Noor told Prothom Alo, ‘Utsav’ is still doing well on single screens like multiplexes and abroad. However, we are not able to tell you the income calculation for single screens as it is a bit complicated and time-consuming. Today is the 35th day. Yesterday too, there were a few housefull shows, and today it is also going well. Overall, we can still see great interest from the audience.’
‘Utsav’ is going on abroad like in the country. The movie was released outside the country on June 20. According to the 17-day calculation, it has earned 1 lakh 46 thousand dollars from North America alone.
Tanim Noor’s movie ‘Utsav’ was released with the tagline ‘Do not watch without family’. After its release, it turned out that the statement is not true at all. ‘Utsav’ has become the first choice of family viewers this Eid. As the days go by, the interest of the audience around the movie is increasing. The movie has starred famous artists of the country. Zahid Hasan, Joya Ahsan, Api Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Afsana Mimi, Tariq Anam Khan, Azad Abul Kalam, Intekhab Dinar, Sunerah Binte Kamal, Soumya Jyoti, Sadia Ayman and many others.
The story of the movie is written by Tanim Noor, Ayman Asib Swadhin, Susmoy Sarkar and Samiul Bhuiyan. Rashed Zaman has worked as the director of photography. The screenplay and dialogues have been written by Ayman Asib Swadhin and Samiul Bhuiyan.
The movie ‘Utsav’ by BRAC Bank Presents is produced by Dope Productions, with Charki as the co-producer. Laughing Elephant is the associate production company of the movie.
